Northwest Ohio plays a role in the state’s top ranking for doing business

TOLEDO, Ohio — Ohio is now ranked the fifth-best state in the country when it comes to states doing business.

A top-five spot in Area Development Magazine is worn as a badge of pride, Dean Monske, president and CEO of the Regional Growth Partnership, a northwest Ohio-based economic development agency, said.

“It says to the rest of the county, and quite honestly the rest of the globe, that we know what company’s needs are that are looking to expand and that we are leveraging our assets to address those needs,” Monske said.

Toledo gas prices fall for first time after 3 weeks of increase

TOLEDO, Ohio — Gas prices in Toledo fell this week after three weeks of increased prices.

The average price of gas in the city stands at $3.87/g, according to GasBuddy‘s daily survey of 315 stations in the city. This is a decrease of 7.5 cents after three weeks of increased prices; for three weeks, gas prices increased nearly 50 cents in the wake of the BP Refinery fire and the effects of Hurricane Ian.

Gas prices in Toledo are 45.5 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand 63.9 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.
