A new restaurant has opened its doors in Toledo.

Earlier this month, Glass City Steakhouse opened its doors in downtown Toledo at 26 Main St, according to the restaurant’s social media account. During its first week of operation, the restaurant had some setbacks, including a minor electrical issue that forced the steakhouse to close its doors on Valentine’s Day. Since then, Glass City Steakhouse has fixed the electrical issue and resumed its normal hours of operation.

Glass City Steakhouse’s menu includes appetizers like steak tartare, roasted bone marrow, jumbo crab cakes, baba ganoush, and spinach artichoke dip. Also on the menu are soups and salads like lobster bisque, French onion soup, Caesar salads, and wedge salads.

‘You can’t eat just one’ | Toledo bakery rising to Tuesday’s demand for paczki

Bakery Unlimited “kneaded” all the help it could get on Monday as workers prepared for Fat Tuesday’s paczki rush.

Fat Tuesday is the biggest day of the year for the business as people come in to buy paczki, said head baker Ryan Watson. The bakery has been preparing for the day for over three weeks.

“We’re doing a lot today,” Watson said. “We’re doing about 1,200 dozen paczki today, and we’ll probably do the same amount if not more tomorrow.”

On January 30, the new restaurant Assembly American Brasserie opened its doors in downtown Toledo at 101 N Summit St, according to a social media post from the restaurant. You can make reservations for the restaurant on OpenTable.

The new restaurant’s menu includes appetizers like mussels (which are prepared with tomato, onion, garlic, thyme butter, and crème fraîche), pork belly (which comes with gochujang, brown sugar, chili, cucumber salad, and grilled scallion citrus sauce), parmesan frites (which are served with smoked bourbon tomato aioli), and salmon sliders, which are served on brioche buns and come with ginger, sesame, hoisin, and pickled cucumber.

Coffee shop, new steakhouse opening at The Docks

Two new additions are coming soon to the restaurant scene in east Toledo.

Glass City Steakhouse is set to open Feb. 13, at The Docks at International Park. The steakhouse will fill a vacancy left by Boardwalk B&G, which opened in early October and closed abruptly in late November.

The spot was also the former location of Hamburger Mary’s before it relocated to N. Huron Street in downtown Toledo.
