TOLEDO, Ohio — Nate Gembreska is a born Toledoan.
He was raised on the east side, graduated from Whitmer High School and is now a medical student at the University of Toledo.
He is one of the many medical students, pharmacists and nursing students under the instruction of licensed practitioners that meet in parking lots and churches every week to help people underprivileged people with their medical needs.
“I relied on food pantries and community resources to get by,” said Gembreska. “Being able to give back so much to my local community that gave so much to me is really important.”
