Toledo’s second new pedestrian beacon introduced at Hill Avenue, Torrington Drive

Thursday morning, Toledo Councilman John Hobbs III introduced the second of two modern safety measures that were installed at crosswalks this month.

A high-intensity activated crosswalk beacon, also called a HAWK beacon, is operational over Hill Avenue and Torrington Drive, in addition to the previously introduced beacon above Monroe Street outside the Toledo Museum of Art.
