Toledo women’s basketball knocks off Michigan for second straight season

For the second straight season, the University of Toledo women’s basketball team is victorious over the University of Michigan.

The Rockets took a 19-point lead into halftime en route to a dominating 69-46 win over the Wolverines in front of a raucous crowd of over 7,082 at Savage Arena, a regular-season record. Toledo led by as many as 26 points in the game.

Quinesha Lockett led the way with a game-high 20 points. Sophia Wiard also added 14 points and five assists. Sammi Mikonowicz, a Rossford High School graduate, finished the game with 10 points and eight rebounds.
